Job description

  • The candidate will be required to develop child-care programs.

  • The candidate will be required to provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art.

Requirements

  • The candidate should have a College degree.
  • In absence of a college degree the candidate should have a CEGEP.
  • The candidate should have a Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • The candidate should have a First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience of the candidate in the concerned field will be given preference.
  • The candidate should have a thorough Criminal record check.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should have excellent written communication skills.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be able to supervise staff.
  • The candidate should be able to supervise trainees or volunteers.
  • The candidate should be able to maintain daycare equipment.
  • The candidate should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
  • The candidate should be able to attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • The candidate should be able to plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
  • The candidate should be able to supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
  • The candidate should know English.
