Job Description

• The candidate must respond to fire alarms and other calls for assistance.
• The candidate will be expected to use manual and power equipment to control and extinguish fires.
• The candidate must provide first-aid and other assistance.
• The candidate will be expected to maintain firefighting equipment.
• The candidate must provide paramedical assistance to accident victims or sick people.
• The candidate will be expected to coordinate the work of other firefighters.
• The candidate will be required to administer medications and provide advanced emergency treatments to patients.
• The candidate must provide pre-hospital emergency care.
• The candidate will be responsible for transporting patients to a hospital or other medical facility for further medical treatment.
• The candidate will be expected to maintain ambulances, emergency care equipment, and supplies.
• The candidate must document and record the nature of the injuries and the treatment received.
• The candidate will be expected to assess the extent of trauma victims’ injuries or illnesses in order to determine emergency medical treatment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
