Kingfisher Oceanside Resort & Spa Ltd. situated in Courtenay, BC is seeking applications for the job position of Hotel guest services attendant who are enthusiastic and possess excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate for this position is expected to start work as quickly as possible. The role being offered is Permanent employment or Full time job.

Job Description

  • The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
  • The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • The candidate must attend to group arrivals and departures.
  • The candidate must provide information regarding the hotel’s services, room features, and points of interest.
  • The candidate will be responsible for receiving and delivering items and messages to guests.
  • The candidate must accept, cancel, and change room reservations.
  • The candidate must provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • The candidate must answer the phone and relay calls and messages.
  • The candidate must perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing.
  • The candidate must provide general information about points of interest in the area.
  • The candidate must provide excellent customer service.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should be reliable.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in a hotel, motel, or resort with additional sports and leisure facilities framed in a natural environment that attracts visitors beyond the room.
