Job Description
- The candidate will be required to present his or her own material as well as material prepared by others.
- The candidate will be responsible for selecting and introducing music, videos, and other entertainment material for broadcast, as well as making commercial and public service announcements.
- The candidate will be expected to act as host/hostess or master of ceremonies, introduce and interview guests, and conduct show or programme proceedings.
- The candidate must read news, sports, and weather for radio and television.
- The candidate will be expected to report on weather conditions using data from weather forecasting services.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate or diploma from a College, CEGEP, or other non-university programme lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
- The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
- The candidate should be reliable.
Work site environment
- The candidate must be willing to work in Canada.
