Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to perform cashier duties, sell permits and assist in the operation of sales outlets.
- Candidates are also appointed to greet and orient visitors and deliver reception, orientation, public safety and visitor experience information to be eligible for this post.
- They’re also appointed to adapt information when delivering presentations to address the needs of specific visitor groups and individuals, to reflect a target market and personal approach.
- They’re also appointed to participate in the coordination and delivery of familiarization tours for clients and tourism industry stakeholders.
- Candidates are appointed to participate in the coordination and delivery of after-hours special events and private functions.
Job requirement
- They must attain a secondary school diploma or approved alternatives or an acceptable combination of education, training, experience or traditional knowledge relevant to the position.
- Candidates must attain a delivery of interpretive programs, theatre or performing arts, museum education or storytelling to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must be able to work weekends, irregular hours, overtime and/or statutory and provincial holidays to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates are also appointed to work from various locations and appointed possession or maintenance of a valid class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have successful completion and maintenance of reliability security clearance including fingerprints to be eligible for this post.
- They must be able to wear a Parks Canada uniform and/or dress in period costumes to be eligible for this post.
