Job Description
- Candidates will have to work under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
- They will have to work as a team leader and work to assist residents and patients in meeting their personal activity of daily living needs.
- Candidates will have to ensure the value of respect, integrity, and patients in meeting their activities of daily living needs as identified.
- Candidates are also appointed to perform personal care home standards.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have passed Grade 12 and attained a health care aide certificate from a recognized program.
- Candidates must attain 1-2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Candidates must attain 1-2 year’s experience preferably caring for elderly or disabled clients.
- Candidate must attain the ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- They must be able to interact well with others
- Candidate must attain the ability and willingness to work in stressful environments that may include aggressive and/or agitated individuals
- The ability to provide care in a culturally appropriate manner is also required to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidate must attain the ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
- Candidates with Good work and attendance records will be preferred for this post.
