Job description
- Candidates assist residents and patients in meeting their personal activity of daily living needs as identified within an established care plan.
- Candidates exercise the appropriate Medium level of initiative and independent judgement in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have Minimum Grade 12.
- Candidates must have 1 – 2 years’ experience working in a health care setting preferred.
- They also must have 1 – 2 years’ experience preferably caring for elderly or disabled clients preferred.
- They must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
Work setting
- Candidates must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Candidates must have the ability to provide care within a culturally appropriate manner.
- They must be good at work and have an attendance record.
- Candidates must be able to organise and prioritise assigned workload.
- Candidates must have ability and willingness to work in stressful environments that may include aggressive and/or agitated individuals.
