Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for hiring and dismissing staff.
- The candidate must advise on wine selection.
- The candidate must provide recommendations for drink selections.
- The candidate must schedule staff.
- The candidate must train staff.
- The candidate must collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other forms of payment for beverages.
- The candidate will be responsible for recording and balancing beverage sales.
- The candidate must store beverages and food products.
- The candidate will be responsible for ordering bar stock, maintaining inventory, and controlling bar stock.
- The candidate must respond to customer complaints or concerns.
- The candidate will be responsible for enforcing provincial/territorial liquor laws and regulations.
- The candidate must prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- The candidate must take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from customers.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 3 to 4 people.
- The candidate must have Bartender certification, Responsible Beverage Service Certificate, and ProServe program certification.
- The candidate should be client focused.
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must be well-organized.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
- The candidate must have a positive attitude.

- The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
- The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
