Job Description

  • The candidate must prepare reports or case histories.
  • The candidate must perform office and administrative tasks.
  • The candidate will be responsible for assessing clients’ needs and eligibility for specific services.
  • The candidate must perform housekeeping duties.
  • The candidate must provide suicide and crisis intervention.
  • The candidate must be able resolve conflict situations.
  • The candidate must supervise the activities of clients living in group homes and halfway houses.
  • The candidate will be responsible for assisting offenders in pre-release and release planning.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must hold a College degree, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in Psychology, general, Social sciences, general, or Criminology.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 16 to 20 people.
  • The candidate must have Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Certification, Mental health first aid Certificate, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate must be flexible.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

  • The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
  • The candidate must work at a halfway house.
