Job Description
- The candidate must book appointments.
- The candidate must cut and trim hair according to the client’s instructions or preferences.
- The candidate will be responsible for shampooing customers’ hair.
- The candidate must shave and trim mustaches and beards.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing additional hair treatments such as waving, straightening, and tinting, as well as scalp conditioning massages.
- The candidate must colour, frost, or streak hair using bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses.
- The candidate must cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair.
- The candidate must suggest hairstyles that are compatible with the client’s physical features and preferences.
- The candidate must perform receptionist duties.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The candidate must have a Hairstylist Licence.
Work setting
- The candidate will be required to work in a barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio; a well-organized environment and proper storage of your belongings are essential if you want to work smarter rather than harder.
Experience and specialization
Hair styling techniques
- The candidate must be skilled in hair styling techniques such as blow drying, iron waving/curling, permanents and roller setting.
Hair colouring techniques
- The candidate must be skilled in hair colouring techniques such as bleaching, dyes/tints, frosting and streaking/highlighting.
