Job Description
- Applicants working at this post are required to support City of Surrey events and programs.
- They’re also appointed at this post to provide supervision to junior staff at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds during day-to-day operations and events.
- Applicants are also required at this post to interact with the public, handling questions and complaints tactfully and professionally working at this post.
- Candidates appointed to assist in administering contracts for Parks Division work working at this post.
- They’re also appointed at this post to assist in preparing technical reports and maintaining records.
- Candidates appointed at this post for gardening, turf maintenance, litter control, weeding, grading, pruning, plant installation, snow removal and ice control work at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed grade 12, supplemented by successful completion of 5 additional relevant courses from an approved post-secondary education institution in Horticulture, Turfculture, Plant Biology, and Arboriculture to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have 2 years of recent experience in landscape maintenance and landscape construction to be preferred for this post.
- Applicants must have completed Grade 12 and a Technical Certificate Program from an approved post-secondary institution to get preferred for this post.
- Candidates must have 18 months of recent experience in landscape maintenance and landscape construction to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Applicants must have completed a diploma program from an approved post-secondary institution to be considered as an asset for this post.
- They must have a minimum of 6 months of recent experience in landscape maintenance and landscape construction to be preferred for this post.
