Job Description

• The candidate will be in charge of fruit tree training.
• The candidate will be in charge of cleaning the greenhouse.
• The candidate will be in charge of mixing fertiliser.
• The candidate will be in charge of weeding.
• The candidate will be expected to spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides.
• The candidate will be expected to assist in the pruning of trees, shrubs, and plants.
• The candidate must mix and prepare soils.
• The candidate must pot and re-pot plants.
• The candidate will be responsible for transplanting seedlings or rooted cuttings.
• The candidate will have to apply fertilisers.
• The candidate must report any signs of insect or disease damage.
• The candidate must water and care for plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate will be expected to clean the work area.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp, hot, and cold/refrigerated conditions.
• The work environment is smoke-free.

• Products include coniferous trees, deciduous trees, ferns, native plants, perennials, bedding plants, berry bushes, bonsai plants, fruit trees, ornamental trees, shrubs, and hedges, seasonal plants, tropical plants, and vegetables.

Type of crops

• The crops are greenhouse tomatoes, greenhouse vegetables, and herbs.

• The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced busy environment.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate will be expected to manage a large workload.
• The candidate should have an eye for details.
