Job Description
- The candidate will be in charge of cleaning the crop.
- The candidate will be in charge of cleaning the greenhouse.
- The candidate will be in charge of harvesting vegetables by hand.
- The candidate will be in charge of mixing fertiliser.
- The candidate must be able to operate climate controls.
- The candidate will be required to spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides.
- The candidate will be expected to assist in the pruning of trees, shrubs, and plants.
- The candidate must plant bulbs and seeds.
- The candidate must pot and re-pot plants.
- The candidate will be expected to transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings.
- The candidate will have to apply fertilisers.
- The candidate must report any signs of insect or disease damage.
- The candidate must water and care for plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- The candidate will be expected to clean the work area.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
- The candidate must have a provincial licence or certification to use chemical fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides.
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
- The candidate should be reliable.
Work Site Environment
- The type of farm operation is floriculture production.
- The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment
- The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp and hot conditions.
Experience and Specialization

- The candidate must have prior experience with forklifts, irrigation pumps, and equipment.
