Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising other graphic designers and graphic arts technicians.
  • The candidate must adapt existing illustrations.
  • The candidate must consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations in order to meet their communication needs.
  • The candidate must develop and produce realistic or representational sketches, as well as final illustrations.
  • The candidate must create 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of production for print, audiovisual, and electronic materials.
  • The candidate will be responsible for coordinating subcontracting.
  • The candidate must consult with clients to establishย the overall look, graphic elements, and content of communication materials.
  • The candidate must determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication.
  • The candidate must develop graphic elements that meet the client’s objectives.
  • The candidate must create guidelines for illustrators or photographers.
  • The candidate must prepare sketches, layouts, and graphic elements.
  • The candidate must use existing photo and illustration banks, as well as typography guides.
  • The candidate will be responsible for processing files and paperwork.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
