Job Description
- Candidates are accountable at this post to lead the development and production of the City of Mississauga’s AMO Briefing, Federal and Provincial Pre-Budget Submissions working at this post.
- They’re also responsible for the design, execution, monitoring and improvement of the City’s advocacy program applied for this post.
- Candidates interested at this post are required to prepare program updates and presentations quarterly to LT and Council working at this post.
- Applicants who applied for this post are required to work with senior leaders to assess corporate funding needs and scope needs.
- Candidates who applied for this post are required to work with the Finance division and evaluate grants program offerings from other levels of government to maximize opportunities working at this post.
Job requirement
- Applicants appointed at this post must have a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience in public affairs, government relations, public service or politics at the municipal, provincial or federal levels of government.
- They must have a broad knowledge of the services, processes and deliverables of every city division to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have expert knowledge of the City’s strategic priorities and how they tie into the long-term vision of City Strategy and the Council’s Vision to be eligible for this post.
