Job Description
- The candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
- The candidate will be responsible for setting up and adjusting production machinery and tools.
- The candidate must fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating precision measuring instruments.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining inspection records and completing inspection reports.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to lift weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs) or more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
Work site environment
- The work environment is smoke-free.
Work setting
- The candidate should work in general manufacturing, creating new products from raw materials or assembling different components through physical, chemical or mechanical means.
Experience and specialization
Measuring tools
- Measuring tools include micrometers, calipers, calibre, gauges, and verniers.
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have experience using boring machines, drill presses, milling machines, surface grinders, tool grinders, and universal grinders.
Additional information
Work conditions and physical capabilities
- The candidate must finished the work with in the given time line.
- The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
Own tools/equipment
- The candidate must have tools and steel-toed safety boots.
