Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for guiding growing shoots into optimal development positions.
  • The candidate must mix fertilizer.
  • The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • The candidate must cut and shape plants and trees with a knife.
  • The candidate must tie and secure plants.
  • The candidate will be responsible for weeding.
  • The candidate must harvest crops.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants.
  • The candidate will be responsible for cutting horticultural crops.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset.

Work site environment

  • Farm operations include fruit and vegetable combination farming as well as tree and orchard fruit farming.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The candidate must be able to work at heights.
  • The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp, dusty, hot, cold/refrigerated and dirty conditions.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must work on the farm.
