Job Description

  • The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
  • The candidate must clean the crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for clearing fields of wood and stone.
  • The candidate will be responsible for cutting agricultural crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for dividing freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
  • The candidate will be responsible for grading vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume in order to fetch high price in market.
  • The candidate must harvest vegetables by hand.
  • The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
  • The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
  • The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • The candidate must manually remove all suckers and water sprouts.
  • The candidate must sort fruits and vegetables.
  • The candidate must tie and secure plants.
  • The candidate will be responsible for weeding.
  • The candidate must clean the work area.
  • The candidate must harvest crops.
  • The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must detect disease and health issues in crops, livestock, and poultry.
  • The candidate must examine the product’s quality and readiness for market.

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.

  • The candidate must be capable of lifting weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs), 45 kg (100 lbs), and more than 45 kg (100 lbs).

  • Crops include artisanal crops, asparagus, bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, cauliflowers, cucumbers, field berries, garlic, melons, onions, raspberries, strawberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, zucchinis, berries, potatoes and vegetables.

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience operating farm trucks, forklifts, fruit harvesters, loaders, tractors, vegetable harvesters, lift trucks, planting equipment, seed drills, and hand tools.
