Job Description

The candidate must apply fertilizers.
The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
The candidate must clean the crops.
The candidate will be responsible for dividing freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
The candidate will be responsible for grading vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume in order to fetch high price in market.
The candidate will be responsible for greenhouse cleaning.
The candidate must harvest vegetables by hand.
The candidate must mix fertilizer.
The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
The candidate must use a knife to shear and shape trees and plants.
The candidate must sort fruits and vegetables.
The candidate will be responsible for training trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
The candidate will be responsible for weeding.
The candidate must clean the work area.
The candidate will be responsible for fertilizing and spraying crops.
The candidate must harvest crops.
The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
The candidate must examine the product’s quality and readiness for market.

Farm operations include corn farming, fruit and vegetable combination farming, and tree and orchard fruit farming.
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp, dusty and hot conditions.

Work setting

The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
The candidate should be willing to relocate whether the candidate would be ready to move into a new city/different city for a job.

Experience and specialization

Type of crops

Crops include apples, asparagus, bell peppers, cabbage, carrots, cauliflowers, cucumbers, field berries, garlic, melons, onions, orchard fruit, raspberries, strawberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, zucchini, and potatoes.

Equipment and machinery experience

The candidate must have experience operating a carrot seeder, farm truck, tractor, vegetable harvester, fertilizer applicator, planting equipment, seed drill, sprayer/duster, tillage equipment, and hand tools.
