Job Description
- The candidate will be in charge of collecting brush.
- The candidate will be in charge of cleaning the greenhouse.
- The candidate will be in charge of handling animals.
- The candidate will be in charge of monitoring animal health.
- The candidate will be in charge of stone and/or wood picking.
- The candidate will be in charge of vegetable culling.
- The candidate will be expected to feed and care for animals.
- The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
- The candidate must detect disease and health issues in crops, livestock, and poultry.
- The candidate will be required to write basic progress reports on a daily basis.
- The candidate will be responsible for installing and monitoring water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
- The candidate must be able to work with a guard dog.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
- The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work site environment
- Farm operations include fruit and vegetable combination farming, goat farming, and other vegetables and melon farming (except potato).
Work setting
- Accommodation facilities are available to the candidate.
Experience and specialization
Type of crops
- Crops include blueberries, carrots, cucumbers, melons, sweet corn and tomatoes.
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have prior experience with a loader, planting equipment, a sprayer or duster, and a tractor.
Automated systems experience
- The candidate must have prior experience with an automated irrigation system and a feeding and watering system.
Animal specialization
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about alpacas and llamas.

- The candidate must be bondable.
- The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal background check as well as a driving record check (abstract).
Transportation/travel information
- The candidate must have their own vehicle.
- The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
