  • Farm operations include oilseed farming (excluding soybeans), other grain farming, wheat farming, and grain, oil, and forage crop production.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The candidate must be able to work at heights.
  • The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
  • The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience using various farm equipment, including a fertilizer applicator, seed drill, sprayer or duster, tractor, combine harvester, farm truck, lift truck, loader, planting equipment, sweeper, tillage equipment, and skidsteer.

  • The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal background check as well as a driving record check (abstract).

Transportation/travel information

  • Employer will provide the vehicle.
  • The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
  • The candidate must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
