Job Description

  • The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
  • The candidate must level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • The candidate must pave and rake asphalt.
  • The candidate must clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • The candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance work.
  • The candidate must remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • The candidate will be responsible for directing traffic near construction sites.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have Personal protective equipment (PPE) training Certification, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate, Confined Space Entry Training Certification, Chainsaw Safety Training Certification, Traffic Control Person (TCP) Certification, Forklift Operator Certification, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Driver’s License (Class 3 or D), First Aid Certificate, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course Certification, and CPR Certificate.
  • The candidate must be able to lift weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate must be flexible.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate must be hardworking.

Work site environment

  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
