Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.
• The candidate must handle and transport dangerous goods.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate must have Air Brake Endorsement Certification and a Driver’s License (Class 3 or D).
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Experience and specialization

Documentation knowledge

• The candidate must be knowledgeable about dangerous goods occurrence reports, driver logbooks and inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip).

Type of trucking and equipment

• Trucking and equipment types include liquid bulk and straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles).

Security and safety

• The candidate’s driving record should be thoroughly checked (abstract).

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.

Work conditions and physical capabilities

• The candidate should have an eye for details.
• The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

Own tools/equipment

• The candidate must have steel-toed safety boots.
