Job Description
- The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
- The candidate must clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
- The candidate will be responsible for clearing fields of wood and stone.
- The candidate will be responsible for dividing freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
- The candidate must harvest vegetables by hand.
- The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
- The candidate will be responsible for weeding.
- The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
- The candidate must harvest crops.
- The candidate must set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
Work site environment
- Farm operations include corn farming and fruit and vegetable combination farming.
Experience and specialization
Type of crops
- Crops include asparagus, bell peppers, blueberries, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumbers, garlic, melons, onions, raspberries, seed corn, strawberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, and zucchini.
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have experience in operating onion transplanters, fruit harvesters, haying equipment, and planting equipment.
