  • The candidate will be required to complete a variety of tasks, including melting metals and pouring them into moulds.
  • The candidate will be in charge of cleaning and assembling moulds for the foundry in which they work.
  • The candidate will be required to weigh certain quantities of objects in each project module.
  • The candidate will be expected to operate and calibrate machinery in order to get it ready for processing.
  • The candidate must be able to use a variety of hand tools, such as grinders and mallets.
  • Throughout the procedure, the candidate must ensure that ventilation procedures are followed.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper melting by adjusting temperatures and degassing.
  • The candidate will be expected to assemble flasks and water, as well as mix sand.
  • The candidate will be required to shovel sand into flasks and compact sand in flasks.
  • The candidate will be required to install and remove steel jackets and bands used for holding snap molds together
  • The candidate must remove castings from moulds and place them on setting rings.
  • The candidate will be required to direct high-pressure water streams onto castings in order to clean them.
  • The candidate will be required to use bars to break up used sand moulds and shovel sand into drying ovens.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep meticulous track of the temperature gauges and colours.
  • To ensure proper heat distribution, the candidate will be required to adjust dials and gauges.
  • The candidate will be required to create sand moulds for casting.
  • The candidate must perform preventative and routine maintenance on melting and mould machines.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all work areas are cleaned and maintained properly.
  • The candidate should have a strong understanding of raw materials, manufacturing processes, quality control, prices, and other approaches for maximising the efficiency of goods manufacturing and distribution.
  • The candidate must have a thorough understanding of machines and tools, including their designs, applications, repair, and maintenance.
  • The candidate should have a thorough understanding of appropriate equipment, regulations, procedures, and tactics in order to support effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.

  • The candidate will be required to work in Foundry departments of metal products manufacturing companies

Own Tools/Equipment

  • Candidates are required to wear steel-toed safety boots.

Work Site Environment

  • The candidate will be required to work in wet or damp, dusty and hot or cold environments.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate will be required to work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

  • The candidate is able to travel by public transportation.
