Forklift operator

Rainbow Concrete Industries Ltd. situated in Sudbury, ON is seeking applications for the job position of Forklift operator who are enthusiastic and possess excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate for this position is expected to start work as quickly as possible. The role being offered is Permanent employment or Full time job. The candidate must work on the morning shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must be capable of loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
• The candidate must operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products.
• The candidate must provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades, or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have Forklift Operator Certification.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs) or more than 100 kg (220 lbs).
• The candidate must be efficient.
• The candidate must be energetic.
• The candidate must be hardworking.
• The candidate must be honest.
• The candidate must have a positive attitude.
• The candidate must be a quick learner.
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work setting

• The candidate should work in manufacturing new products from raw materials or assembling different components through physical, chemical or mechanical means.

• The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced busy environment.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for details.
• The candidate will be expected to manage a large workload.
• The candidate should be willing to work for long hours in sitting positions.

Own tools/equipment

• The candidate must have steel-toed safety boots.
