Job Description

  • The candidate must be capable of loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
  • The candidate will be expected to load, unload, and move materials and products using a variety of equipment.
  • The candidate must remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • The candidate must prepare and lay structural tiles, concrete blocks, bricks, and other masonry units.
  • The candidate must be capable of erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • The candidate must install and construct prefabricated masonry units.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • Fluency in Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Polish, and Ukrainian is an asset.
  • The candidate must have completed the Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, have a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and be certified as a forklift operator.
  • The candidate must be adaptable.
  • The candidate must be hardworking.
  • The candidate must be a quick learner.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.

Work site environment

  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

  • The candidate must have prior experience using concrete mixers and mortar.
