Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for bringing clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas as well as setting tables.
  • The candidate must load buspans and trays.
  • The candidate must place dishes in the storage area.
  • The candidate must replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • The candidate will be responsible for keeping track of the food quantities consumed.
  • The candidate will be responsible for packaging take-out food.
  • The candidate must portion and wrap foods.
  • The candidate must prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • The candidate will be responsible for serving customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • The candidate will be responsible for stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
  • The candidate will be responsible for taking customer orders.
  • The candidate must clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cabinets, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • The candidate must be capable of handling and storing cleaning products.
  • The candidate will be responsible for receiving, unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
  • The candidate will be responsible for removing kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
  • The candidate will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, washing and polishing floors.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must have Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling certificate, Serving It Right Certificate, and Smart Serve Certificate.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate must be able to multitask.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
