Job Description

• The candidate must establish and maintain contact with suppliers.
• The candidate will be responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels.
• The candidate will be responsible for negotiating prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers.
• The candidate must review the requirements of establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
• The candidate will be responsible for selecting and purchasing merchandise for resale.
• The candidate will be responsible for supervising the work of other buyers.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
• The candidate should be accurate.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate must be analytical.

Work setting

• The candidate must work in a wholesale establishment/store.

• The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced busy environment.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
• The candidate should have an eye for details.
