Job Description
- The candidate must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
- The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
- The candidate must prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables.
- The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques, or room billings.
- The candidate must describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers.
- The candidate will be responsible for enforcing provincial/territorial liquor laws and regulations.
- The candidate will be responsible for advising on menu selection.
- The candidate must balance cash and keep sales records.
- The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
- The candidate must describe and advise on wine selection.
- The candidate must greet customers, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
- The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
- The candidate will be responsible for taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff.
- The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
- The candidate must provide excellent customer service.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have Food and Beverage Server Training Certification, Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling Certificate, and ProServe program Certification.
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
- The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
Work setting
- The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
- The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
- The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
- The candidate’s relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
- The candidate should be willing to relocate whether the candidate would be ready to move into a new city/different city for a job.
- The candidate should work in the fast food sector and maintain high customer service standards during high-volume, fast-paced operations.
- The candidate must work in a pub.
- The candidate should work in a hotel, motel, or resort with additional sports and leisure facilities framed in a natural environment that attracts visitors beyond the room.
