Job Description

• The candidate will be required to manipulate pipes or drill stems at the rig floor while drilling and while removing and replacing pipes, drill stems, and drill bits.
• The candidate will be expected to assist other workers in maintaining drilling equipment on the drill floor.
• The candidate will be required to handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials.
• The candidate will be responsible for cleaning up rig areas.
• The candidate will be expected to assist in the setup, dismantling, and transportation of drilling and service rigs and service equipment.
• The candidate must be able to drive trucks in order to transport materials and well service equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate must have a Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate as well as a Standard First Aid Certificate.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be willing to work in hazardous conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in hot, and cold/refrigerated conditions.

Work setting

• The candidate will be required to work as a Drilling and Well Service Contractor.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a remote location.
• The candidate will be required to work in various locations.
• The candidate’s relocation expenses will not be covered by the employer.

Security and safety

• The candidate should undergo a thorough Driver’s Licence Validity Check, Driving Record Check (abstract), Medical Exam, and Drug Test.

• The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be willing to work overtime if necessary.
