Job Description 

  • Applicants who applied for this post are required to conduct fire investigations as required and evaluate, approve and ensure implementation of fire safety plans working at this post.
  • Applicants for this post are also required to perform fire and life safety education duties.
  • They’re required at this post to be appointed to review compliance alternatives for approval by the Deputy Chief of Fire Prevention and Risk Reduction working at this post.
  • Candidates for this post are also appointed to initiate and participate in prosecutions relating to violations of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act working at this post.
  • Applicants for this post are appointed to provide technical support and training for fire service personnel.
  • Candidates are appointed at this post to perform administrative duties and maintain professional certifications and competencies working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Applicants for this post must possess NFPA 1031-1 Fire Inspector Level 1. l to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants must attain dedicated post-secondary graduation from a university, technical or community college in Building Construction, Engineering or other related fields to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants applying for this post must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, and internal and external clients to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must have dedicated experience in achieving excellence in customer service and customer experience to be eligible for this post.
  • They must obtain NFPA Fire Inspector II and NFPA 1035 Fire and Life Safety Educator Level 1 certifications to be preferred for this post.
