Job Description 

  • Candidates working at this post are required to contribute to managing transactional processes.
  • Candidates are also appointed at this post to review and assist in the preparation of budget documents, ad hoc reports and various periodic financial reports, including internal monthly and quarterly reports working at this post.
  • Candidates are also appointed to assist in preparing reports and presentation materials for the Finance Leadership Team working at this post.
  •  Applicants are also responsible for maintaining and updating relevant City policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • They’re also required at this post to manage, supervise, and direct the work of staff responsible for financial planning and analysis for various departments working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants must have the completion of the Chartered Professional Accountant designation to be preferred for this post.
  • Applicants must have 7 years of related experience, including a minimum of 2 years of management experience to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must have prior expertise in financial planning and analysis to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants must have dedicated knowledge of best practices related to financial controls and processes.
  •  Applicants must have effective communication skills along with the ability to multitask.
  •  They must have strong decision-making and problem-solving skills and must attain the ability to foster strong working relationships to be preferred for this post.

Work setting 

  • Applicants are also required to make recommendations for improvements to strengthen internal controls and work collaboratively with Finance and departmental teams and management to ensure processes are effective, efficient, and compliant with policy working at this post.
