Job Description

  • The candidate must clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
  • The candidate must consider water saturation, light, and temperature when planning for crop growth and development.
  • The candidate must coordinate planting and cultivation activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for developing a hoeing strategy for crops.
  • The candidate must develop and direct the behavior of farm animals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for directing agricultural crop clipping activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for directing agricultural crop deleafing activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for directing farm grooming activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for dividing freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
  • The candidate must follow sustainable soy farming practices such as crop rotation, reduced-till or no-till, water and nutrient management, precision farming technology, and cover crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for greenhouse cleaning.
  • The candidate must be able to handle animals.
  • The candidate must harvest seedlings.
  • The candidate will be responsible for implementing sustainable gardening trends such as permaculture practices.
  • The candidate must level the earth to fine grade specifications.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing feed inventory activities.
  • The candidate must mix fertilizer.
  • The candidate must monitor animal health.
  • The candidate will be responsible for organizing planting, cultivating, and crop harvesting activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the field clearing activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for raising and breeding livestock and poultry.
  • The candidate must use a knife to shear and shape trees and plants.
  • The candidate will be responsible for training trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing the farm’s overall operations.
  • The candidate must purchase machinery, livestock, seed, feed, and other supplies.
  • The candidate must determine the amount and types of crops to be grown and livestock to be raised.
  • The candidate must keep financial and production records.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.
  • The candidate will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising staff and/or volunteers.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must administer first aid in emergency situations.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades, or equivalent experience.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
