Job Description

  • The candidate must apply fertilizers.
  • The candidate must mix fertilizer.
  • The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
  • The candidate must clean the work area.
  • The candidate will be responsible for fertilising and spraying crops.
  • The candidate must harvest crops.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.

  • The candidate will be responsible for organizing planting, cultivating, and crop harvesting activities.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to lift weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs), 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and 23 kg (50 lbs).

Experience and specialization

Type of crops

  • Crops include grains and canola.

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience operating farm equipment such as a farm truck, forklift, loader, tractor, combine harvester, fertilizer applicator, haying equipment, manure spreader, planting equipment, seed drill, swather, and hand tools.

Automated systems experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience with automated bulk grain or feed handling, storage, and silage systems.
