Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing livestock health issues.
- The candidate must be able to handle animals.
- The candidate must perform livestock feeding.
- The candidate will be responsible for weaning.
- The candidate will be responsible for fertilizing and spraying crops.
- The candidate must harvest crops.
- The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- The candidate must provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.
- The candidate must perform general farm duties.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- A candidate with experience is an asset.
- The candidate must have an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Certification.
- The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
- The candidate should be reliable.
Work site environment
- Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming (including feedlots) and grain, oil, and forage crop farming.
- The candidate must work in all weather conditions.
Work setting
- The candidate should work in a rural area, where most people live or work on farms or ranches. Rural areas include hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements.
Experience and specialization
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have experience operating harvesters, seed drills, sprayers or dusters, storage and silage systems, tractors, combine harvesters, farm trucks, forage equipment, haying equipment, loaders, planting equipment, swathers, tillage equipment, welding and hand tools.
