Job Description

  • The candidate must mix fertilizer.
  • The candidate will be responsible for fertilising and spraying crops.
  • The candidate must harvest crops.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.
  • The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment.
  • The candidate must apply fertilizers.
  • The candidate must clean the work area.
  • The candidate will be responsible for organizing planting, cultivating, and crop harvesting activities.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to lift weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs), 9 kg (20 lbs) and 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience operating various farm equipment, including fertilizer applicators, storage and silage systems, tractors, combine harvesters, farm trucks, haying equipment, loaders, manure spreaders, planting equipment, swathers, forklifts, and hand tools.

Automated systems experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience with automated bulk grain or feed handling.
