Job Description

  • The candidate must clean the crop.
  • The candidate must groom farm animals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for fruit tree training.
  • The candidate must be able to handle animals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for livestock branding.
  • The candidate must milk goats.
  • The candidate will be responsible for weeding.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must milk cows.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 3 to 4 people.

  • The candidate must be able to work in cold/refrigerated conditions.

Experience and specialization

Apiary and honey harvesting experience

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about honey bees and honey farms.

  • The product type is native plants.

Type of crops

  • Crops include blueberries, cabbage, carrots, cherries, garlic, melons, onions, seed corn, strawberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, and zucchini.

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience operating forage equipment, haying equipment, loaders, planting equipment, seed drills, tillage equipment, and tractors.

Product inspection experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience inspecting poultry.

Automated systems experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience with automated bulk grain or feed handling.

Area of specialization

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about dairy cattle, beef cattle, and agricultural livestock service.

Animal specialization

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about horses.
