Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for dividing freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
- The candidate will be responsible for greenhouse cleaning.
- The candidate must monitor animal health.
- The candidate will be responsible for hiring and training staff.
- The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- The candidate must perform general farm duties.
- The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
- The candidate will be responsible for clearing fields of wood and stone.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 3 to 4 people.
- The candidate must be well-organized.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work site environment
- Farm operations include chicken farming, fruit and vegetable combination farming, layer poultry farming, other poultry farming, sheep farming, mushroom cultivation, and poultry and egg production.
- The candidate must be able to work in dusty and hot conditions.
- The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
- The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
Work setting
- The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
- The candidate should have relocation costs not covered by the employer; if the company doesn’t offer a relocation package, you can request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
