Farm Supervisor

Blue Berry GNL Farm Ltd. based in Surrey, BC is looking for candidates for the position of Farm Supervisor with 1 vacancies. The ones chosen to be employed will be required to start work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to that of permanent employment and a full time job. The shift will extend from day to evening to morning, the candidate may also be required to work in the weekend.

Job description

• The candidate will be required to ensure quality control.
• The candidate will be required to maintain quality control and production records.
• The candidate will be required to maintain records and check quality of products.
• The candidate will be required to co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
• The candidate will be required to look after the workers and labourers.
• The candidate will be required to supervise the work of the labourers.
• The candidate will be required to co-ordinate the workers.
• The candidate will be required to establish work schedules.
•  The candidate will be required to develop work schedules and establish procedures.
• The candidate will be required to supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
• The candidate must ensure farm safety.
• The candidate must ensure that bio-security procedures are followed.
• The candidate will be required to perform general farm duties.
• The candidate will be required to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate will be required to maintain work records and logs.
• The candidate will be required to hire and train staff.
• The work site environment is noisy with a lot of odors and is hot.
• The candidate will be required to have the ability to supervise around 3 to 4 people.

Requirements

• The candidate should have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• The candidate should have an experience of at least 7 months to less than 1 years.
• The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate should have interpersonal awareness.
• The work will involve a combination of sitting, standing and walking which the candidate should be comfortable with.
• The candidate should be able to manage tight deadlines.
• The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
