Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
  • The candidate must keep financial and production records.
  • The candidate must provide agricultural crop services, including plowing, irrigation, cultivation, spraying, and harvesting.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
  • The candidate must ensure they and others follow farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control and production records.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising and overseeing growing and other crop-related operations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining work records and logs.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising more than 20 individuals.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

  • The farm operations include other miscellaneous crop farming as well as potato and vegetable production.

Work setting

  • The candidate should be willing to work in a rural area, where most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
  • The candidate should work in a staff accommodation that offers live-in facilities, provided by the employer, which provides housing to its employees.
