Job Description

The candidate must follow sustainable soy farming practices, including crop rotation, reduced-till or no-till methods, adequate water and nutrient management, precision farming technology, and the use of cover crops.
The candidate will be responsible for cleaning the greenhouse.
The candidate must harvest seedlings.
The candidate must provide agricultural crop services, including plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting.
The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
The candidate must ensure that farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control and production records.
The candidate will be responsible for supervising and overseeing growing and other crop-related operations.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining work records and logs.
The candidate will be responsible for hiring and training staff.
The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
The candidate must perform general farm duties.
The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the rows.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must be able to supervise 11 to 15 people.
The candidate must be well-organized.
The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

The types of farm operations are corn farming, wheat farming, and horticultural field crop farming.
The candidate must be able to work in dusty and hot conditions.
The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration despite these conditions.
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work setting

The candidate should be willing to work in a rural area, where most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
The candidate should work from a remote location, which is the practice of employees performing their jobs from a location other than a central office operated by the employer.
The candidate should work in a staff accommodation that offers live-in facilities, provided by the employer, which provides housing to its employees.

Type of crops

The crops are seed corn, soybeans, and tomatoes.

Equipment and machinery experience

The candidate must have experience operating an automated irrigation system, harvesters, a tractor, and a vegetable or fruit harvester.
