Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing livestock health issues.
  • The candidate must be able to handle animals.
  • The candidate must monitor animal health.
  • The candidate will supervise and coordinate the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
  • The candidate must ensure that farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed.
  • The candidate will be responsible for formulating a feeding program.
  • The candidate must maintain livestock performance records.
  •  The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control and production records.
  • The candidate must supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining work records and logs.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 3 to 4 people.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

  • Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, as well as livestock farming.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty and hot conditions.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
