Job Description
- The candidate must clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
- The candidate must be able to handle animals.
- The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the calving process.
- The candidate must monitor animal health.
- The candidate must prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving.
- The candidate will be responsible for treating livestock health issues.
- The candidate will be responsible for fertilizing and spraying crops.
- The candidate must harvest crops.
- The candidate will be responsible for feeding and tending animals.
- The candidate will be responsible for carrying out a pasture or pen breeding program.
- The candidate must keep livestock performance records.
- The candidate will be responsible for selecting livestock for sale.
- The candidate must perform general farm duties.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Certification.
Work site environment
- Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming (including feedlots), livestock combination farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, and livestock farming.
- The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
- The candidate must work in all weather conditions.
