Job Description

  • Candidates applying for this post are required to coordinate inspections and repairs to facilities, equipment and building systems.
  • Applicants who applied for this post are also appointed to establish and follow through on a preventative maintenance program and maintain the physical assets of the facilities working at this post.
  • They’re appointed at this post to develop work obligations and overall adherence to facility and programming needs, event schedules, facility cleanliness standards, health and safety criteria and maintenance requirements.
  • People who applied for this post are required to effectively carry out facility operations and project management while ensuring clean, safe and well-maintained facilities working at this post.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must attain a post-secondary University degree or College diploma in recreation, facilities management and operations management to be eligible for this post.
  • They must be able to oversee operating and lifecycle budgets to be preferred for this post.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of building operational work experience in multi-purpose recreational facilities or equivalent experience.
  • They must attain a minimum of 3 years of effective leadership experience of full-time staff, planning, organizational, problem solving and time management skills to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants must be knowledgeable in working with Microsoft Office like Outlook, Word, Excel and BAS systems to be eligible for this post.

Work setting

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of direct experience with repairs and maintenance in facility operations.
  • They must hold and provide a copy of a valid Ontario Driver’s License Class G to be considered as an asset for this post.
