Job Description

  • The candidate must teach students through lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips.
  • The candidate must prepare subject material for presentation in accordance with an approved curriculum.
  • The candidate must prepare, administer, and correct tests.
  • The candidate must attend staff meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
  • The candidate will be expected to lead students in activities that promote their physical, mental, and social development, as well as their readiness for school.
  • The candidate will be expected to identify the individual learning needs of children.
  • The candidate will be expected to assess students’ progress and discuss findings with students, parents, and school officials.
  • The candidate will be expected to create course content.
  • The candidate will be in charge of assigning and correcting homework.
  • The candidate will be in charge of maintaining order in the classroom.
  • The candidate will be in charge of developing and enforcing a set of classroom rules.
  • The candidate will be in charge of identifying student behaviour that is problematic.
  • The candidate will be in charge of creating a learning environment that is developmentally appropriate, positive, inclusive, and safe for all students.
  • The candidate will be in charge of fostering strong working relationships with co-workers and students.

  • The candidate will be in charge of incorporating goals, competencies, and objectives into lesson plans in ways that are directly applicable to the student’s life.
  • The candidate will be responsible for giving children praise and encouragement when they perform well and when they struggle, as well as teaching them that they have the power to succeed in school regardless of their circumstances.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in French language.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience is not mandatory
  • The candidate must have Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate
