Job Description
- The candidate must install, maintain, and service equipment.
- The candidate will be required to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine how to assemble parts, machines, and other equipment.
- The candidate will be required to use precision measuring instruments to verify the dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
- The candidate will be expected to inspect parts for flaws.
- The candidate will be required to test the performance of electromechanical assemblies using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and bridges.
- The candidate will be required to install electronic components using soldering equipment and hand tools.
- The candidate will be required to analyse and record test results, as well as prepare written documentation.
- The candidate will be required to repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
- The candidate will be required to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes in order to evaluate quality or performance.
- The candidate will be expected to assist with the installation, analysis, and acceptance of new electromechanical equipment.
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the tool meets all electro and mechanical safety requirements.
- The candidate will be expected to attend safety and training meetings, as well as emergency preparedness systems.
- The candidate will be expected to identify and evaluate failures using detailed drawings, standard electronics equipment, manuals, diagrams, specifications, and instructions.
- When performing work, the candidate will be expected to follow all company safety rules and regulations.
- The candidate will be required to perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- The candidate will be expected to perform preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities on a regular basis.

- The candidate should be capable of troubleshooting and maintaining frequency drives.
- In order to perform duties, the candidate must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric metres, and material handling equipment.
