Job Description
- The candidate must install underground wiring and cables.
- The candidate must splice, join, and connect wires.
- The candidate must design and build low voltage (30 to 750V) multiphase services for single or multimeter installations.
- The candidate must troubleshoot and isolate faults.
- The candidate must install surface mount and/or overhead cables.
- The candidate will be responsible for instructing apprentices.
- The candidate must install power generation, backup power generation, and power conditioning systems.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising other workers.
- The candidate must ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures such as swimming pools and hot tubs.
- The candidate must renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
Work site environment
- The candidate must be willing to work in hazardous conditions.
- The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
Work setting
- The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
- The candidate should work in a commercial environment that fosters a workplace full of highly competent, respectful, mature, and accountable employees.
- The candidate should work in a residential setting, focusing on tasks related to one, two, and three-family dwellings.
