Job Description
- Candidates are appointed to prepare detailed commissioning packages, in support of the FortisBC capital plan.
- They are also appointed to participate in engineering investigations to troubleshoot, evaluate, and provide recommendations on operational issues.
- Candidates are appointed to assess the need for equipment replacements and establish effective replacement programs.
- They’re also appointed to provide support for the development of computerized maintenance management tools.
Job requirement
- They must attain a dedicated bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, plus two to seven years of experience in electrical substation engineering.
- Candidates must attain a general understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering and construction concepts.
- They must attain demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
- Candidates must attain demonstrated knowledge of various commonly used software such as MS Office, MS Project and SharePoint.
Work setting
- Candidates must attain the ability to develop computer models and equipment for validity and reliability.
