In the provision of a range of comprehensive programs and services, CHANCES receives funding through the Public Health Agency of Canada, the province of Prince Edward Island, and private donations. In addition, CHANCES offers self-sustaining programs on a fee for service basis for families.

Job description
- The candidate will be required to support early childhood educators in carrying out the physical development of children.
- The candidate will be required to support early childhood educators in carrying out the cognitive development of children.
- The candidate will be required to support and early childhood educators in carrying out emotional development of children.
- The candidate will be required to support and early childhood educators in carrying out social development of children.
- The candidate will be required to lead activities by telling or reading stories.
- The candidate will be required to lead activities by teaching songs.
- The candidate will be required to lead activities by preparing craft.
- The candidate will be required to assist early childhood educators or supervisors to prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor.
- The candidate will be required to plan an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
- The candidate will be required to maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
- The candidate will be required to maintain daycare equipment.
- The candidate will be required to assist in housekeeping.
- The candidate will be required to assist in cooking duties.
- The candidate will be required to discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members.

Requirements
- The candidate should have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- The candidate will be trained.
- Experience of the candidate in the concerned field is not mandatory.
